public class TextFieldList

extends javax.swing.JPanel

This class represents a list coupled with a text field. The list values are coupled with the values in the text field and vice versa. The text field can be used to enter values from the list. Changes to the list are reflected in the text field.

TextFieldList

public TextFieldList(java.util.ArrayList values,
                     java.lang.Object selected_value)

Creates a textfield list from a vector of values.

Parameters:

values - an arraylist of objects used as values. The toString method is used to display the objects.

selected_value - the initially selected value, which must be one of the objects stored in the values.

Method Detail

addListSelectionListener

public void addListSelectionListener(javax.swing.event.ListSelectionListener listener)

Adds a list selection listener to the internal JList. Note that it is not necessary to add an actionlistener to the coupled textfield, since legal changes to the textfield will trigger a list-selection event.

Parameters:

listener - the listselectionlistener to add to the jlist.

removeListSelectionListener

public void removeListSelectionListener(javax.swing.event.ListSelectionListener listener)

Removes a list selection listener from the internal JList.

Parameters:

listener - the listselectionlistener to remove from the jlist.
